Egypt Experience Tour Oct 10 to 23rd 2009

This was certainly an experience. My Wife and I are not historians but have an interest in the different cultures around the World and the nearest we had come to this sort of experience was in the Yucatan Peninsular of Mexico, rich in Mayan culture. We knew a little about the Pyramids and the Sphinx plus the Valley of the Kings but the number of Temples and the size of them took our breath awayOur group comprised 2 couples from the UK and 1 couple from California. We were named the Lovely group…See More

Heathrow parking

been looking at valet parking at Heathrow for trip to Eygpt in Oct. Big variation in price but has anyone tried VIP valet parking. their rate is quite reasonable but as I am always wary of anything too cheap thought I would ask the question. Dont fancy the purple style of outside parking as I have used this before although thats obviously an option. We have an early check in so the overnight hotel stay is not really an option. Opinions and advice welcomed.

"It's worth using cash to settle bills in hotels/on the cruise boat as quite often a surcharge is added of around 3% if you pay by plastic"

Currency to take to Eygpt

Booked a 2 week tour in October. Never been to Egypt so looking forward to the experience. New man to Uncover the World so would like a bit of help in deciding what currency to take. I imagine the dollar will be a strong contender. There are a few deals at the moment on the dollar so if that what I need it would be a good time to buy.
