Hi Linda

I have put some photographs on the site showing the walk back down from Mt. Sinai. I had some problems uploading them so the individual photographs are a bit jumbled up, I have created an album (Decent from Mt Sinai) with the photographs in the correct order from the summit back down to St. Katherine's monastery. The maority of the walk up is easy along well trodden paths, the last part is fairly steep but steps have been created so it is not to bad. You will do the complete walk up in the dark so a torch is essential. You will have a bit of a a wait once you get to the near to the summithence the warm clothing and I suspect the air temperature will be close to freezing in January, it was probably around 5C when I went up in Early December. It will however get rather warm again once the sun is up and you start to go back down again. Hope you enjoy your trip.

Regards Tim and Geraldine

We were a bit torn whether to do the trip or go to bed in our five star hotel and spend the morning around the pool. Walking up a mountain through the night doesn't sound too great!!!
But we will probably do it!!
